
Vale: 266,000 Tonnes of Iron Ore Insured Aboard Sunken VLOC
SAO PAULO, April 3 (Reuters)– Brazilian miner Vale SA stated on Monday that 260,000 tonnes of great iron ore on a South Korean ship that sank in the South Atlantic had actually been guaranteed.
Vale stated in an e-mail that the freight, which came from the Brazilian miner, was bound for China for storage space and also mixing when the ship run by South Korea’s Polaris Shipping, Stellar Daisy, sank off Uruguay’s coastline.
