Washington State Department of Ecology tweeted this {photograph} of Walla Walla grounded simply off Bainbridge Island final month.

The Washington State Ferries Jumbo Class ferry M/V Walla Walla was again in Bremerton, Sunday, after grounding at round 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Rich Passage, simply off Bainbridge Island, when en path to Seattle from Bremerton.

There have been 596 passengers and 15 crew members on the vessel when it grounded. The passengers have been subsequently offloaded onto Kitsap Transit vessels.

The first group of passengers was taken to Bremerton by way of Kitsap Transit simply after 8:30 p.m., in accordance with WSF.

The ferry was subsequently refloated Saturday and returned to Bremerton with tug help..

According to Washington State Ferries, there have been no reviews of accidents and preliminary indications have been that the Walla Walla had suffered a generator failure. An official investigation might be carried out.

The Washington State Department of Ecology stated no air pollution or hull injury was detected on the time of the grounding.

The 440 foot lengthy double-ended Walla Walla has a most passenger capability of two,000. It was initially in-built 1973 and rebuilt in 2003.
