Ship Photos of the Day – Royal IHC Launches Dredger ‘Jun Yang 1’
Dutch shipbuilder Royal IHC launched the trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) JUN YANG 1 this previous Saturday at their shipyard in Kinderdijk, the Netherlands for CCCC Guangzhou Dredging (GDC) of China.
Upon supply, the JUN YANG 1 would be the largest vessel of its variety in China. The vessel will come equip with two suction tubes every with its personal dredging pump, permitting tandem dredging depths to 60 meters, or 90 meters for the starboard tube.
Including the JUN YANG 1, IHC has constructed 19 vessels for GDC courting again some 40 years. Delivery is scheduled for July 2016.
