Gibraltar ship restore yard Gibdock introduced the appointment of John Barnard as its new Commercial Director.
Barnard brings to the function over 15 years of expertise within the shipbuilding and restore enterprise, with a profession marked by numerous roles, encompassing technical, industrial and manufacturing features throughout each protection and industrial markets.
A graduate from the University of Southampton with a Masters in Ship Science in 2008, Barnard started his profession as a naval architect at Cammell Laird within the U.Ok. Barnard has garnered intensive expertise as a ship supervisor, efficiently overseeing tasks similar to army refits, passenger ferry conversions and lengthening initiatives, in-service help contracts and offshore mobilizations and de-mobilizations. Notably, he has served as Project Director for prestigious tasks, together with three new construct ferries and the Type 45 Power Improvement Project. In his earlier function as Technical Director at Cammell Laird, Barnard was chargeable for main the technical, bids, estimating and planning groups.
