Volvo Penta introduced Northern Offshore Services (N-O-S) would be the first to deploy its new IPS Professional Platform, lining up installs on newbuild crew switch vessels (CTV) slated to set sail within the second half of 2024.
Volvo Penta’s newly launched propulsion providing, an evolution of its confirmed Inboard Performance System (IPS) resolution, is designed with a twin energy enter idea that permits the utilization of various combos of energy sources from combustion engines working on renewable fuels to completely electrical or hybrid options. This flexibility is meant to make vessels extra simply adaptable to future vitality necessities.
