Lending Club Sailing Breaks Newport-Bermuda Course Record [VIDEO]
With a median velocity of 27 knots, the 105-foot maxi trimaran Lending Club (ex Banque Populaire 7) has damaged the course file between Newport, Rhode Island and Kitchen Shoal Beacon off Bermuda, a file beforehand set by the late Steve Fossett on Playstation in 2000.
The yacht accomplished the 635 nautical mile course on 20 April in 23 hours, 9 minutes and 52 seconds.
