The Port of Skagen and Maersk’s offshore vessel-charging enterprise Stillstrom have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collectively discover the mixing of offshore energy and charging options into the anchorage zone of the Danish port often known as Skagen Anchorage.
The strategic collaboration goals to handle the urgent want for decarbonization within the maritime trade by leveraging revolutionary know-how and sustainable practices.
As one of many busiest anchorage zones in Northern Europe, Skagen Anchorage has since 2020 noticed greater than 3800 vessel stops yearly lasting a minimal of six hours, amounting to a mean of 66,000 tonnes of annual CO2 emissions.
