AIS Replay of MV Maersk Garonne Grounding in Fremantle, Western Australia [VIDEO]

Here’s an AIS reconstruction displaying the grounding of the MV Maersk Garonne because it entered Fremantle Inner Harbour in Western Australia early Saturday morning. As gCaptain reported, the vessel was pulled free from mushy sand a couple of hours later.

There are not any stories of injury to the vessel, accidents or air pollution. The Australian Transport Safety Board has launched an investigation and can launch a closing report into the incident.
