
Baltic Dry Index Sinks to Lowest Level Since March
May 24 (Reuters)– The Baltic Exchange’s major sea products index, monitoring prices for ships lugging completely dry mass products, was up to its most affordable in virtually 3 months on Wednesday on weak need throughout all vessel sections.
The total index, which consider prices for capesize, panamax, supramax as well as handysize delivery vessels, was down 15 factors, or 1.58 percent, at 934 factors– its most affordable degree because very early March.
The capesize index shed 52 factors, or 3.05 percent, at 1,654 factors.
