
HugeLift Orders Third 1,800-Ton Capacity Heavy Lift Vessel
Dutch heavy carry specialist HugeLift Shipping has ordered a 3rd Happy S-type vessel with 1,800 metric ton lifting capability.
The new vessel shall be equivalent to HugeLift’s flagship Happy Star that includes two 900 mt Huisman Heavy Lift Mast Cranes. With excessive crane pedestals and lengthened jib, the newbuild may have a lifting peak solely matched by Happy Star within the worldwide fleet of heavy carry vessels.
The newbuild shall be named Happy Sun and shall be constructed by Ouhua Shipbuilding in Zhoushan, China. Delivery is predicted within the first quarter of 2018.
Happy Sun will measure 156 meters lengthy and may have a 29 meter deck with 18,374 dwt.
