BIO-UV Group has acquired an order from SIEM Ship Management to provide its BIO-SEA Ballast Water Treatment Systems for a trio of SIEM-managed automotive carriers. The order, for retrofit set up to the Siem Copernicus, Siem Curie and Siem Socrates, is the most recent in a sequence of deliveries of BIO-SEA B-Series gear for set up onboard round a dozen SIEM Ship Management reefer vessels since 2021.
In this newest order, BIO-UV Group’s maritime division will present B02 BIO-SEA BWTS models with a medium to excessive movement fee of 300-cu.m. per hour.
The Siem Curie and Siem Copernicus, each constructed by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, had been delivered in 2009 and 2010 respectively. These 43,810 gt automotive carriers have a capability for as much as 3,205 automobiles, whereas the 47,090 gt Siem Socrates, delivered by Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry in 2010, carries as much as 4,900 automobiles.
