Bulk Carrier Confirmed as Source of Vancouver Bunker Spill

A newly-built bulk provider has been confirmed because the supply of a bunker spill in Vancouver’s English Bay.

The oil spill was first reported to Port Metro Vancouver by the Canadian Coast Guard on Wednesday night, and was later confirmed as heavy bunker gasoline coming from one in all a handful of cargo ship’s at anchor within the Bay.

On Friday, the Canadian Coast Guard confirmed the supply of the spill because the MV Marathassa, an 81,000 DWT bulk provider that was solely not too long ago delivered in March and at the moment on its maiden voyage.
