Cargo Ship Collides With Ferry in Turkey’s Dardanelles Strait
An 88-meter cargo ship collided with a Turkish passenger ferry within the Dardanelles strait this week, inflicting harm to each vessels.
The Turkish Directorate of Coastal Safety confirms that the collision concerned the Cook Island-flagged dry cargo ship Esperanza and the passenger ferry Ezine, occurring simply after midnight on April 3. Both vessels had been take to close by harbors for inspections.
Photos present harm to the bow of the cargo ship and port quarter of the ferry. No accidents had been reported however a number of autos aboard the ferry had been harm within the collision.
