Conrad to construct 4 cargo/passenger ferryboats for Puerto Rico

Morgan City, La., based Conrad Shipyard, LLC has actually been granted an agreement by the Puerto Rico Maritime Transit Authority (PRMTA) for the building and construction of 4 cargo/passenger ferryboat vessels. The ferryboats, each developed to lug 300 travelers and also 300 brief lots of freight, will certainly run in between the Municipality of Ceiba and also the Municipality Islands of Vieques and Culebra in Puerto Rico.

Conrad anticipates to provide the very first of the 4 cargo/passenger ferryboats to San Juan, Puerto Rico, in late 2024.

Conrad formerly developed and also provided 2 ferryboats to PRMTA which are still running around Puerto Rico today.
