Paducah, Ky. headquartered Crounse Corporation introduced it has taken supply of a brand new 6,034-horsepower towboat constructed by Conrad Shipyard, based mostly in Morgan City, La.
The 166- by 48- by 12-foot Alice is called after the corporate’s first vessel that started working in 1949.
Delivered with a U.S. Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection for Subchapter M compliance and two EPA Tier 4 compliant fundamental engines, the newbuild is among the most effective and environmentally-friendly vesselsoperating on the United States’ inland waterway system.
Alice and powered by two General Electric (GE) diesel engines, that are coupled to Reintjes gears. The vessel is supplied with Cummins turbines, a P.E. licensed ship alarm system. According to Crounse, steering, navigation and inside electronics and parts are essentially the most superior accessible within the maritime market. The towboat is designed to accommodate as much as 12 crew and friends.

Alice is the second 6,034-horsepower vessel Conrad has delivered to Crounse, following the Sandra Holt, delivered in 2021.
