Crowley Now Managing Five Military Sealift Command Ocean Surveillance Ships

Crowley Maritime Corp.’s international ship administration group has accomplished the profitable turnover of the Military Sealift Command’s (MSC) T-AGOS/T-AGM fleet and is now liable for the operation and upkeep of the group’s 5 T-AGOS vessels.

The turnover section started in mid-January, when a staff of Crowley workers traveled to Sasebo, Japan, to fulfill with MSC officers and the incumbent ship supervisor to debate the change of administration.

“We are thrilled to have completed the official turnover of these high-profile vessels,” stated Crowley’s Mike Golonka, vp, authorities companies. “This seamless transition would not be possible without the hard work and determination of our remarkable government team, and the tremendous support we received from MSC. The T-AGOS/T-AGM fleet helps the Navy’s Surveillance Towed Array Sensor Systems (SURTASS) operations, the U.S. Air Force’s dual-band, phased array and parabolic dish radars and different authorities missions.
