EST-Floattech has been chosen by KOTUG International to offer its containerized power storage answer with Octopus Series power modules for the E-Pusher 1 (Type M), the world’s first totally electrical pusherboat operated by Cargill.
The vessel was constructed by Padmos, and EST-Floattech labored with the yard, Sea and Shore, and Gebhard Electro to appreciate the system. The container is ESTRIN-Certified and has a capability of 2MWh. It was designed and constructed in a bit over half a yr on the firm’s new manufacturing services.
The E-Pusher 1 transports cocoa beans for Cargill from the Port of Amsterdam to Zaandam, and the container supplies sufficient power for the E-Pusher to make about three journeys from Zaandam to Amsterdam and again. When on the Cargill services in Zaandam, the Octopus Series Container can be charged 3 times per week with inexperienced power.
