Austal USA christened its 14th Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF), USNS Cody, in a February 25 ceremony at its Mobile, Ala., shipyard’s superior manufacturing facility. Cody is the primary EPF Flight II in addition to the primary Navy vessel to honor town of Cody, Wy.
The USNS Cody is one among two EPF Flight II ships underneath development at Austal USA with a 3rd underneath contract. EPF Flight II ships will increase the longer term Expeditionary Medical Ships which shall be able to complete, multidisciplinary hospital operations.
