Fredriksen Group CEO Jo Lunder Out for Good
OSLO, Dec 18 (Reuters) – Norwegian-born billionaire John Fredriksen mentioned Jo Lunder, who has been on go away as chief govt of his Fredriksen Group since November, wouldn’t come again, enterprise paper Dagens Naeringsliv wrote on Friday.
Fredriksen Group controls rig agency Seadrill, fish farmer Marine Harvest, tanker firm Frontline , dry bulker Golden Ocean and property firm Norwegian Property, amongst others.
Lunder was placed on go away in November because of an ongoing police probe at telecoms agency Vimpelcom, the agency he headed earlier than he joined the Fredriksen Group.
“No, he will not come back here. We have clarified this between us in an orderly manner. Jo Lunder has to use his time on what he is involved in now. I wish him good luck,” Fredriksen instructed Dagens Naeringsliv.
Norwegian, Dutch, Swiss and U.S. police are investigating funds made in connection to Vimpelcom’s operations in Uzbekistan.
Dutch prosecutors have mentioned the probe pertains to alleged corruption. Lunder has mentioned he’s harmless and he has not been charged. (Reporting by Ole Petter Skonnord; Editing by Mark Potter)
