Philip Luongo has joined New Orleans headquartered Harvey Gulf International Marine as govt vice chairman of gross sales, specializing in oil & fuel, subsea, offshore wind, authorities and navy contracts, and area exploration.
Luongo is a New York native and graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, N.Y. After graduating the academy, he upgraded his U.S. Coast Guard license by crusing on deep sea vessels and working manufacturing platforms within the Gulf of Mexico. After transitioning shore aspect, previous to becoming a member of Harvey Gulf, he labored for BP for 9 years, holding numerous management roles supporting activiities within the U.S Gulf of Mexico, Angola, Trinidad, Canada, and Brazil.
Luongo is the president of the Kings Point Alumni Foundation in Houston and a lieutenant within the U.S. Navy Reserve,serving within the Strategic Sealift Officer program.
