Houston-headquartered Helix Energy Solutions Group, Inc. (NYSE: HLX) reviews that it has entered right into a two-year extension of its properly intervention constitution and companies contracts with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) for the Siem Helix 2 properly intervention vessel, offshore Brazil. The negotiated extension is scheduled to conclude in December 2024 and instantly follows Helix’s present contracts with Petrobras.

Delivered by German shipbuilder FSG in 2016, the 158.65 meter lengthy Siem Helix 2 is a purpose-built, superior properly intervention vessel able to performing a variety of subsea companies together with manufacturing enhancement, properly decommissioning, subsea set up, offshore crane and remotely operated car operations, offshore building and emergency response. Both Siem Helix 2 and sister ship Siem Helix 1 are on long term charter from Norway’s Siem Offshore.
