Hyundai Heavy Industries Targets $19.5 Billion in Orders in 2016
SEOUL, Jan 4 (Reuters) – Hyundai Heavy Industries Co Ltd mentioned on Monday it’s plans an order goal of $19.5 billion in 2016, down from a goal of $22.95 billion in 2015.
The shipbuilder, along with smaller associates Hyundai Mipo Dockyard and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co Ltd, was the most important shipyard group on the planet by orderbook as of November, in response to Clarksons Research.
Low oil costs and complicated designs have made high-end offshore floating manufacturing services for oil and gasoline loss-making for the world’s three largest shipbuilding teams, all South Korean, as demand shrinks and a few orders are slashed.
