India: Ministry Of Shipping Inks MoU For Skill Development In Port And Maritime Sector

“The vision of making India the Skill Capital of the World will continue to prosper if we work together and craft strategies to enhance access and innovate in the areas of skilling. Maritime transport is a critical segment that propels the economic development of our country. This strategic partnership with The Ministry of Shipping is also derived from the same motto. It is aimed in the direction in which our initiatives support our workforce by skilling them and builds their competencies up to global standards. It is my belief, that with the right assistance, training and exposure our youth will reach newer heights and will contribute in the growth of the shipping sector.”

Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of State for Shipping (I/C) shared gratefulness for the MoU, in the direction of the Ministry of Skill Development and also Entrepreneurship and also stated that this collaboration will certainly offer substantial job opportunity and also much better leads to the young people of seaside locations. This MoU would certainly enhance the dedication of Coastal Community Development under SagarMala program of Ministry of Shipping, he included. As per the MoU, the Ministry of Skill Development and also Entrepreneurship( MSDE) will certainly coordinate in advancement naturally educational program, National Occupational Standards, web content, and so on for Cruise Tourism,Logistics, Fisheries,Ship structure,Ship repair service and also ship splitting, Dredging, Offshore supply chain and so onIt will certainly likewise take advantage of its existing facilities such as ITIs, NSTIs and also PMKK and also PMKVY facilities to educate workforce needed according to the ability spaces of the seaside areas. MSDE will certainly likewise aid inmobilizing personal sector/CSR financing for ability advancement in the port and also maritime industry and also assist in port and also maritime industry in TVET contracts authorized for ability advancement with worldwide companions.
