India Seizes Record 1,500 kg of Heroin from Ship Off Coast
By Sudarshan Varadhan BRAND-NEW DELHI, July 30 (Reuters)– India’s navy took a ship bring concerning 1,500 kg of heroin worth 35 billion rupees ($ 545 million) on Sunday in what it stated was its largest ever before medicines transport.
The vessel, which was running under the name MV Henry under the Panama flag, was obstructed off the Gujarat coastline near the city of Porbandar, stated S. Paramesh, replacement supervisor basic at the Indian Coast Guard.
It was cruising from Dubai to Alang, a community in Gujarat recognized for shipbreaking, Paramesh stated.
