With the appointing of seaside study vessel Sagar Anveshika previously this year, the Indian Register of Shipping (IRClass) commemorated yet an additional joint success with the Indian shipbuilding environment.
Built under IRClass, Sagar Anveshika is a DP1-capable vessel fitted with advanced devices that permits her proprietor, National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT/ Ministry of Earth Sciences,Govt of India) to accomplish ecological indexing and also bathymetric studies in both seaside and also overseas waters.
Sagar Anveshika is the secondly of 2 seaside study vessels developed for NIOT, by M/s. Titagarh Wagons Ltd, with the initial being Sagar Tara which was provided in August 2019. The 2 vessels are readied to increase NIOT’s study abilities.
