Newport News, Va., headquartered Ockerman Automation Consulting has named Jon Holvik as govt vp for gross sales, overseeing enterprise growth actions for the design and integration of all kinds of propulsion, energy conversion, superior power storage and automation methods for hybrid and all-electric vessels.
Born in Norway, Holvik spent a major quantity of his profession with Kongsberg Maritime, initially in Norway, and later within the U.S., the place he was named president of Kongsberg’s North American division in 1998
Holvik’s over 30 years of marine and offshore expertise contains earlier management positions with Siemens Energy, Harvey Gulf International Marine and Thrustmaster.
In his new position, Holvik can be tasked with leveraging Ockerman Automation Consulting’s deep expertise in electrical engineering, automation, marine engineering, and naval structure to help shipyards and shipowners with system design, set up, commissioning, and through-life help.
