Kenya to Revive National Shipping Line in Partnership With MSC
By Helen Nyambura (Bloomberg)– Kenya intends to revitalize a state-owned delivery line with the aid of the Mediterranean Shipping Co., President Uhuru Kenyatta claimed.
The Kenya National Shipping Line, which was developed in 1987 as well as gone stale after years of mismanagement, is “expected to once again become an active participant in international seaborne trade, which accounts for a significant percentage of Kenya’s total trade,” Kenyatta claimed Thursday after authorizing an arrangement with MSC’s First Vice President Giovanni Cuomo.
The federal government recommends to provide the KNSL, which is had collectively by the East African state as well as 3 international investors, the single required to manage federal government freight, the presidency claimed in an additional declaration on Tuesday.
