LISCR hires former USCG LNG professional

Until his retirement final month, Dallas Smith was head of the USCG Liquefied Gas National Center of Expertise

The Liberian International Ship and Corporate Registry has employed Dallas Smith as its Director of LNG and Offshore Technology and as General Manager its new Houston workplace.

Smith brings over 20 years expertise as a U.S. Coast Guard officer to his new function. Until his retirement final month, he was head of the USCG Liquefied Gas National Center of Expertise the place he was chargeable for executing the Coast Guard’s liquefied gasoline security, safety, and environmental compliance mission around the globe.

Prior assignments included positions because the Supervisor of Marine Safety Detachment Brownsville, and business secondments as HSSE and LNG Marine Advisor to Cheniere Energy and Excelerate Energy. He was additionally a flag-state and port-sate Senior Marine Vessel Inspector in Houston.

In addition to his expertise within the LNG sector, he additionally has offshore business expertise that features being current for MODU development, inspection, and auditing.

Long considered a number one “expert flag” within the gasoline and offshore area, Liberia has strengthened its in-house technical and industrial capabilities for LNG and offshore and can present its fleet with each regulatory and industrial experience and understanding of what shoppers want.
