More Than 20 Tons of Hashish Found Stashed Inside Cargo Ship in Italy
Italian authorities have seized greater than 20 tons of cannabis hidden contained in the hull of a normal cargo ship on the port of Cagliari in Sardinia, Italy’s Guardia di Finanza has introduced.
The medicine had been discovered stashed inside a ahead ballast tank onboard the Cook Islands-flagged cargo ship MV Jupiter.
According to the Guardia di Finanza, the drug bust all began about three weeks in the past when the Italian authorities obtained a tip that the medicine had been being smuggled onboard the cargo ship, resulting in a boarding of the vessel because it sailed via the Sardinia Channel.
