Pipeline Fire Injures Two Off Louisiana
Two crew members from a dive help vessel have been injured Wednesday after a pure fuel pipeline they have been engaged on caught fireplace within the Gulf of Mexico.
The U.S. Coast Guard says they have been notified Wednesday evening at about 8:30 p.m. {that a} pure fuel pipeline ruptured and was on fireplace about 25 miles south of March Island, Louisiana.
The dive help vessel Ms. Kerci was engaged on the pipeline on the time of the rupture and two crew members aboard the vessel have been injured, the Coast Guard mentioned. Both have been escorted to a hospital in Houma, LA.
The fireplace on the pipeline is extinguished, the Coast Guard mentioned. The pipeline’s proprietor, Boardwalk/Gulf South Pipeline Co., was anticipated to ship out a second vessel to restore the rupture.
The reason for the incident is beneath investigation.
