Pirates Kidnap 8 from German-Owned Cargo Ship Off Cameroon
Pirates abducted 8 team participants from a basic freight ship off the coastline of Cameroon in West Africa.
The vessel’s Hamburg, Germany- based shipowner, MC-Schiffahrt, validated the event in a statement uploaded to its internet site. The business stated its MV MarMalaita was assaulted Thursday, August 14, in between 23.00 h as well as 24.00 h regional time at the Douala anchorage in Cameroon.
Pirates boarded the ship as well as abducted 8 of the vessel’s 12 crewmembers.
