QatarEnergy has chosen Qatar Gas Transport Company Limited (Nakilat) to be the proprietor and operator of as much as 25 conventional-size LNG carriers pursuant to Time Charter Parties (TCP).
The 25 vessels, every with a capability of 174,000 cubic meters, might be owned 100% by Nakilat and chartered out to associates of QatarEnergy. They are scheduled for building at South Korean shipyards.
This constitutes the primary award within the second batch of long-term TCPs below QatarEnergy’s LNG fleet growth undertaking. QatarEnergy’s future LNG fleet is predicted to be in extra of 100 vessels.
In 2022, QatarEnergy signed a sequence of TCPs for the long-term constitution and operation of 60 LNG ships, concluding the primary part of its historic and unprecedented fleet growth program, which goals to assist and meet future necessities of QatarEnergy’s North Field East and North Field South Expansion Projects.
