Seaspan is investing to improve and broaden its Vancouver Drydock infrastructure to assist develop the corporate’s ship restore and upkeep operations and to raised serve the Pacific Northwest.

Seaspan obtained allow approval from the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority (VFPA) in October 2023 to increase its North Vancouver drydock amenities to extend capability and repair extra vessels.

The upgrades, which embody a drydock growth, a brand new operations constructing and a whole overhaul of the present careen deck, will enhance Seaspan’s capability for ship restore initiatives by about 30%, and can end in roughly 100 new jobs, the corporate mentioned.
