
Ship Photos of the Day – ‘Oasis 3’ Under Construction at STX France
Today’s ship photographs present the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Harmony of the Seas, aka Oasis 3, beneath development on the STX Les Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard web site in Saint-Nazaire, France. These photographs had been taken June 17, 2015.
At 227,000 gross registered tons, Harmony of the Seas would be the biggest cruise ship ever built, beating out Oasis 1 and a pair of – Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas – by about 1,700 tons.
Harmony of the Seas will carry 5,479 visitors at double occupancy, in comparison with 5,400 visitors with the primary two Oasis-class ships, and have 2,747 staterooms. Like the earlier Oasis ships, Harmony of the Seas will span 16 visitor decks and have Royal Caribbean’s unique neighborhood idea.
Harmony of the Seas is anticipated to debut in April 2016. A fourth Oasis-class ship can also be beneath development on the shipyard and is anticipated to debut someday in 2018.
