Susan W. Dio joins Kirby board

Houston-headquartered Kirby Corporation (NYSE: KEX), the biggest tank barge operator within the U.S., has appointed Susan W. Dio to its board, efficient January 24, 2023, increasing it to 10 administrators, 9 of them unbiased.

Prior to her retirement in 2020, Dio most lately served as chairman and president of BP America. Previously she served from 2015 to 2018 as CEO of BP Shipping which manages the fleet of BP-operated and chartered vessels. She additionally was a member of the supervisory board of the U.Ok. Previously, Dio was based mostly in Houston as BP’s head of audit for refining and advertising and marketing and ran BP’s Bulwer Island Refinery in Brisbane, Australia. She additionally led the restructuring of the BP chemical compounds enterprise at BP’s Texas City website outdoors of Houston after spending a number of years managing the industrial enterprise on the firm’s former refinery there. Earlier in her profession, Dio labored in different petrochemicals, engineering and industrial roles in Texas, Alabama and London.

An authorized chemical engineer, she earned her bachelor’s diploma with honors in chemical engineering from the University of Mississippi.
