
Tidewater is to retrofit a Norwegian flag PSV with a battery bundle equipped by NES
Tidewater Rederi AS, the Norwegian subsidiary of Houston-headquartered offshore companies large Tidewater (NYSE:TDW) is to retrofit its platform provide vessel North Pomor with a battery pack. It has contracted Norwegian Electric Systems AS (NES) to ship a battery bundle and related management system for battery charging to be retrofitted on board the vessel.
NES, a subsidiary of HAV Group ASA, will present the gear to the North Pomor in reference to a forthcoming vessel improve. The North Pomor was in-built 2013 and is already geared up with diesel-electric propulsion.
NES will make the most of competences from throughout its Norwegian amenities in Bergen (HQ), and Ålesund to design, assemble and check the battery bundle and management system, which shall be delivered within the third quarter of 2023.
