Kongsberg Maritime has signed a contract with Turkish shipbuilder Med Marine protecting the availability of heavy responsibility, Escort Series, towing winches for 9 azimuth stern drive (ASD) escort tugs. This newest order follows on from a contract signed earlier this 12 months to produce winches for seven tugs. The new settlement brings the overall variety of Kongsberg’s winch provide contracts for Med Marine to 16 shipsets.
