Norwegian shipbuilder Ulstein Verft and Nexans Marine Operations have marked the beginning of development of a brand new DP3 cable-laying vessel (CLV) Nexans Aurora in a metal slicing ceremony held on January 19, 2024.
Four months after signing the shipbuilding contract, Nexans Marine Operations and Ulstein Verft formally began he development of Nexans’ subsequent cable laying vessel.
Attending the metal slicing ceremony on the Crist hull yard had been representatives from Nexans, Ulstein Verft, DNV and Crist.
