Ultra-Low Emission Vessel ‘Ortelius’ Joins Jan De Nul Fleet
Ortelius is the 5th dredger supplied by Keppel O&M to Jan De Nul Group, complying with the distribution of 3 3,500 m3 Trailing Suction Hoppers Dredgers (TSHD) and also one 6,000 m3 TSHD, theSanderus All 5 are Ultra-Low Emission vessels (ULEv), furnished with a two-stage catalytic filter system.
Built to the needs of the EU Stage V and also International Maritime Organisation’s (IMO) Tier III laws, Ortelius is diesel-electric driven and also able to dig up to an optimum deepness of 35 m. It includes a superficial draft, is very manoeuvrable, and also appropriate for operating in constrained locations.

A lasting dredger concentrating on much better air top quality
Internal burning engines without post-treatment emit air contamination influencing both environment and also air top quality. Air contamination and also particle issue damages our wellness as well as additionally have a straight effect on our living setting.
With its Ultra-Low Emission vessels, Jan De Nul Group goes for better air top quality. These vessels are furnished with a driver that makes nitrogen oxides safe and also with a residue filter obstructing the finest fragments. Several of these contaminants additionally influence our environment to ensure that the post-treatment additionally makes certain a decrease of greenhouse gases.
The latest generation of Jan De Nul vessels is fitted with this very sophisticated double exhaust gas filter system, making Jan De Nul a frontrunner within worldwide delivery.
