The Belov Engenharia shipyard in Salvador, Brazil, has delivered the HB Poraque. The Robert Allan Ltd. designed RApide 2000-E design vessel is the primary of the 2 revolutionary battery/diesel electrical vessels the yard is constructing for Hidrovias do Brasil S.A (see earlier story). The HB Poraque is the world’s first battery electrical shallow draft pushboat. The second vessel, the HB Enguia, is predicted to hitch the Hidrovias fleet in May 2023.
