According to Korean media records, a South Korean cable-laying vessel sank in the East China Sea, around 31 maritime miles off Tongyeong, South Korea.
The 6,204-tonne vessel names Responder experienced a fire on September 11th around 3.50 AM. There were about 60 staff participants aboard the vessel at the time of the fire.
All the staff participant were saved prior to the vessel sank after a number of hrs of firefighting. The Korean- signed up Responder is run by KT Submarine.
“We are going to discuss the salvage method after precautions to prevent marine pollution,” was the business declaration as reported by Yonhap.
No injuries or oil spill have actually been reported.
