Australia’s biggest LNG manufacturer, Woodside Energy, hurts for an LNG bunkering vessel.
Speaking at the Australasian Oil & & Gas Exhibition & Conference in Perth recently,Chief Operations Officer Meg O’ Neill claimed that Woodside has actually been functioning to create the capacity for LNG as a cleaner aquatic gas.
“We believe Western Australia can lead the way in this emerging market as the International Maritime Organization’s 2020 deadline for low-sulfur marine fuel approaches,” she claimed. “Woodside has been talking to the big miners about using LNG to fuel the busy marine trade routes from Western Australia to Asia and we are tendering for a bunkering vessel to ensure the ships can be readily refueled in Western Australia, using Western Australian LNG.”
