The UNITED STATE Coast Guard medevaced a 28-year-old guy from BP’s Atlantis offshore system Friday, concerning 130 miles southern of Port Fourchon, Louisiana.
Coast Guard Sector New Orleans watchstanders obtained a telephone call at around 5:40 p.m. from a paramedic aboard the Atlantis asking for help to medevac a crewmember aboard the system with an injury to his eye.
Watchstanders worked with the launches of a Coast Guard Aviation Training Center Mobile HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircrew as well as a Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew to help, Coast Guard claimed.
The Jayhawk aircrew got here on scene, came down on the system, began the guy aboard the helicopter as well as moved him to waiting for emergency situation clinical solutions employees at University Medical Center in New Orleans.
The guy was last reported to be in secure problem, Coast Guard claimed Friday.
