Finland’s international ministry mentioned on Friday it had contacted China and Russia by way of diplomatic channels concerning the investigation of injury to a pipeline and a telecoms cable within the Baltic Sea.
Early on Oct. 8, a gasoline pipeline and a telecoms cable connecting Finland and Estonia have been damaged, in what Finnish investigators say might have been deliberate sabotage.
The Finnish international ministry in a press release to Reuters on Friday mentioned it had contacted China to hunt assist to get in contact with the NewNew Polar Bear vessel, a ship named as a topic of investigation by Finnish police.
Regarding Russia, Finland contacted the Russian international ministry, “stating the seriousness of the matter”, and that an investigation had been launched.
