Responders proceed to make progress of their efforts to take away the wreck of the capsized automobile service Golden Ray from St. Simons Sound, Ga. Yesterday, they started reducing operations to separate Section Three from the remaining wreck. This marked the beginning of the fifth of seven complete cuts.

Response efforts have been ongoing because the 660 foot lengthy automobile automobile service capsized in St. Simons Sound, which is close to the Port of Brunswick, Ga., on September 8, 2019.
Once separated, Section three be stowed in a dry dock and transported to a facility on the Mayors Point Terminal within the Port of Brunswick.
Meantime, on the reverse finish of the wreck, responders eliminated 53 autos and a part of a moveable deck from Section Six on Thursday throughout weight-shedding operations.
Sea-fastening operations have been accomplished on Section Seven of the wreck. After inspection by U.S. Coast Guard Marine Safety Unit Savannah, the part will depart the Mayors Point Terminal, depending on a good climate window.
