The St. Simons Sound Incident response workforce has accomplished reducing operations to separate a second part —the strict, designated as Section Eight—from the wreck of the capsized automobile provider stern Golden Ray.
Following completion of the lower, the Barge 455-8 was set to maneuver into place to obtain the part on completion of lifting preparations. The barge will then transit to Mayor’s Point Terminal for additional sea-fastening of the part previous to its transit to a recycling facility.
Pollution monitoring and mitigation continues on the water within the neighborhood of the wreck website and alongside the shoreline.
