Mitsui O.S.Ok. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) and Rio Tinto have signed the partnership settlement to boost collaboration on each security and crew welfare initiative and decarbonization of maritime transportation.
MOL and Rio Tinto have agreed to additional collaborate on transport decarbonization along with the present dedication to the DOO program via a deal signed on January 24, 2024.
The DOO program is a Rio Tinto initiative geared toward enhancing security and enhancing crew welfare within the dry bulk trade.
Rio Tinto is a mining and metals firm and largest dry bulk shipper on the planet.
MOL Group has positioned environmental technique as a key aspect of its ‘BLUE ACTION 2035’ administration plan, and set the goal of reaching web zero greenhouse gasoline (GHG) emissions by 2050 via methods like adopting clear fuels to vessels and extra environment friendly operations.
