The United Arab Emirates’ Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has taken supply of ADNOC MD 01, the primary in a sequence of two new dive help vessels.

The aluminum catamaran was designed by Canadian naval architects Robert Allan Ltd. and constructed by Grandweld Shipyards in Dubai for native diving operations within the UAE.

ADNOC MD 01 and its to-be-delivered sister vessel have been designed and constructed to the next notation: BUREAU VERITAS 1 ✠ HULL • MACH, SPECIAL SERVICE, FAST DIVING SUPPORT, SEA AREA A2.

Propulsion equipment consists of two Baudouin 12M26.3 fundamental engines, 1030 kW at 2100 rpm and Reintjes WVS 430/1 gearboxes driving four-blade typical propellers.

The vessels are supplied with complete tools for shallow water dive help together with a decompression chamber, dive air compressors, compressed air and different fuel cylinders, hose reels for underwater instruments and diver air provide. The large beam of the vessel permits for a spacious, full deckhouse width dive compartment with a diver relaxation space, separated supervisor space and built-in decompression chamber with direct entry to the open deck. Diving operations can happen on both aspect of the vessel or on the built-in swim platforms on the stern.

A big 6.5 m workboat and crane with 10 m working radius is located on high of the deckhouse to keep away from interference with dive operations.

The lodging are for a crew of 5 and as much as seven divers, together with three double crew cabins with mess and galley offered within the deckhouse. All under decks compartments are devoted to propulsion equipment and dive tools.
