UK-based offshore vessel agency North Star stated Friday its second hybrid-propulsion service operation vessel (SOVs) was set to be mobilized three months sooner than deliberate to help SSE Renewables with a brand new scope of labor on the Dogger Bank Wind Farm.
North Star’s first service operation vessel in its new offshore wind fleet, the Grampian Tyne, was blessed at an occasion in June.

This second ship has an elevated warehouse capability and skill to accommodate 50 consumer technicians in comparison with 40 personnel on the opposite fleet tonnage.

North Star has additionally begun work on the development of its first two commissioning SOVs, after awarding the contract to VARD in Norway in May.
