Offshore wind vessel agency Purus Wind has appointed Oliver MacManus as basic supervisor, with fast impact.
MacManus will concentrate on overseeing the working of the development/service operation vessels (“C/SOV”) enterprise.

MacManus has over 10 years’ expertise within the offshore wind trade, beforehand holding positions with a number of main builders and OEM suppliers.
He has labored as a CTV vessel grasp earlier than shifting to varied offshore SOV coordination and administration roles.
Onshore, MacManus has held roles as a marine coordination lead and marine operations supervisor. His expertise consists of tenures with corporations together with GE Renewable Energy, SMC (Specialist Marine Consultants) and E-ON.
MacManus holds an MCA Certificate of Competency together with ISM lead auditor (Lloyds) and vessel inspection (IMCA AVI) accreditation.
In May 2023, Purus Wind signed a contract for 2 battery hybrid C/SOVs with VARD. The order adopted one for eight battery hybrid and methanol-ready wind farm operation vessels from Damen, and three battery hybrid CTVs from Strategic Marine earlier this 12 months.
